Admissions
Admissions to New Hope Special School is by application and successful interview of parents and prospective pupils. In most cases an up to date educational assessment of prospective pupils (carried out in the last two years) is required. An exception to this is in the case of children attending our Summer School for a non- educational program.

A pupil may be admitted to the Special School at any stage of the academic year.

New Hope Schools follow the academic Calendar as set by the Cyprus Ministry of Education and Culture.

Curriculum
Due to its nature and the children it caters for New Hope Special School does not have a set curriculum but each child follows an Individual Educational Plan (IEP) specifically geared to his/her educational needs and the targets set by an expert educational team comprising of an educational psychologist and specialist teachers along with the parents. The IEP is based on an educational assessment carried out within the last two years.

Apart from the IEP that each child is following the School carries out a normal school program that includes physical education, theatre, field trips and other activities.

Assessments

Where no educational assessment has been carried out in the previous two years, parents are required to have their children assessed by a qualified educational psychologist and submit a full written report prior to admission. If parents so wish, an educational assessment of their children to be carried out through New Hope Educational Assessment Center. Please visit our Fees page for information on assessment fees.

Assessments are by appointment only and results are notified to the parents usually within three days.
